Curriculum Development in Practice - Western Australia

The Curriculum Development in Practice course is a one semester-long product-driven project, to support schools to further develop and embed low-variance curriculum in learning areas in their schools.

Participating teams will:

Identify opportunities to strengthen the creation and embedding of low-variance curriculum.

Develop low-variance curriculum materials, including a fine-grained scope and sequence document.

Create a suite of resources that support a low-variance curriculum.

Create a network of experienced alumni across high-performing schools.

Develop and implement a simple targeted action plan to drive success back at school.

Build their curriculum development strengths through expert coaching.

Who Can Participate in the program?

Teams that bring more staff members will have less individual work to complete between sessions.

* An exception may be made for smaller schools to send 1 staff member only, if participation is otherwise impossible.

Course Costs

$1,250 + GST per applicant. For schools sending a minimum of 4 participants, a fifth participant can be included at no additional cost.
